THE BUSES
In October 1991, Nigel Eadon-Clarke visited British Double Decker and noted that the ten buses purchased from London Transport (Via Ensign of Purfleet as dealer) were:
DMS 147, Daimler Fleetline CRG6LXB with Park Royal bodywork with 44 seats upstairs and 24 downstairs with a centre exit door. It was numbered BDD001* in Denver and
carried the name "Paddington". It was operational from April 1984 until June 1995. The remaining buses all had the same chassis/bodywork combination and were:
DMS 180, numbered BDD002 and carried the name "Camelot", operational from April 1984 until October 1995.
DMS 185, numbered BDD003 and carried the name "Trafalgar", operational from April 1984 until October 1995 presumably.
DMS 211, numbered BDD004 and carried the name "Liverpool", operational from April 1984 until October 1991.
DMS 232, numbered BDD005 and carried the name "Chelsea", operational from April 1984 until October 1995.
DMS 283, numbered BDD006 and carried the name "Picadilly" (sic), operational from April 1984 until October 1995.
DMS 304, numbered BDD007* and carried the name "Baker Street", operational from April 1984 until October 1995.
DMS 363, numbered BDD008* and carried the name "Big Ben", operational from April 1984 until October 1995.
DMS 340, numbered BDD009 and un-named, operational from April 1984 until October 1991. Possibly only used for a few weeks and replaced by BDD008.
DMS 312, numbered BDD010 and un-named, operational from April 1984 until October 1991, though the bus may never have been used.
